Vbrun60.exe is also located in the following directory on the Visual Basic
6.0 CD:

   \common\tools\vb\cabinets\vbrun60.cab

On the Visual Studio CDs, it is located on Disk 3:

The Extract.exe utility can be used to extract the file Vbrun60.exe from
the cabinet file, Vbrun60.cab. Extract.Exe can be found in your Windows
folder or on your Windows 95, Windows 98, or Windows NT installation CD-
ROM. From an MS-DOS command prompt, you can run the following command to
extract the file in the cabinet file into the current directory:

   Extract Vbrun60.cab

developers in order to minimize the size of their downloads. If these files
are the only dependencies of a Visual Basic 6.0 application, the developer

article. Users who already have the run-time dependencies can use the
application right away; otherwise they can download Vbrun60.exe and install
them.
